Frequently asked questions

Ventari lets you join angel syndicates led by experienced investors and invest in startups deal by deal. Browse the syndicate directory, apply to join ones that match your interests, and start building your portfolio from there.

An angel syndicate is a group of investors who pool capital to invest together in a startup, represented as one entity on the cap table. You invest alongside a lead investor who sources and vets the deal. Then, you review it and decide whether to participate.

Yes. All investors on Ventari must hold a current sophisticated or professional investor certificate, issued within the last two years. Your accountant can issue this certificate if you meet the income or asset thresholds under the Corporations Act 2001.

Joining a syndicate is free and carries no obligation to invest. You receive deal invitations from the syndicate lead and decide on a deal-by-deal basis whether to participate.

Visit the syndicate directory on the Ventari platform to browse active syndicates. Each syndicate has its own investment thesis and focus area. Apply to join the ones that align with your interests and wait for the lead to approve your application.

Ventari provides an annual tax statement for each investor, broken down by each investment. Ventari also manages all regulatory compliance and reporting for the life of each investment, so you are not left to navigate that alone.
